NN Resumes In-Person Services

Published on 5/2/2022

As of May 2, 2022, NN is once again offering in-person services for members who have received a welcome visit.

Please Note

For the health and safety of our neighbors, please follow our guidelines to limit the risks associated with COVID-19. Volunteers and members must:

  • Provide proof of vaccination including a booster shot plus two weeks.
  • Wear a KN95, N95, or surgical mask (not a cloth mask) over the nose and mouth at all times.
  • Answer the NN health screening questions before using in-person services.
  • Maintain social distance, wash hands, and bring fresh air into your environment whenever possible.

During transportation, car windows should stay open, with the member seated in the back seat on the right/passenger side.

Proof of COVID Vaccination
We will need proof of vaccination, including documentation that it’s been at least two weeks since your booster shot, from members and volunteers before arranging an in-person service.

When you request a service, let us know you are vaccinated, and then provide your vaccination card on the day of service. Your volunteer will verify that you are fully vaccinated before providing the service and will send that information to our office. After that, you no longer need to show proof.
Call us at 413-341-0160 to make another arrangement, such as sharing proof of vaccination by mail, email or text before your service.

Health Screening

Please consider how you feel on the day of your scheduled service, and answer these NN health screening questions. Do not ask for an in-person service if you have had contact with anyone with confirmed COVID-19 in the last 14 days, had any COVID-19 symptoms in the last 10 days, or answer yes to the NN health screening questions.

For the well-being of NN members and volunteers, please cancel your in-person service when you do not feel well. Call 413-341-0160.

Please call NN at 413-341-0160:

  • If you need a surgical mask,
  • If you haven’t yet been vaccinated for COVID and want help scheduling a vaccination appointment,
  • If you are not vaccinated, we can offer information about services such as food delivery or taxi service.

To Request Services

To request a service, you must be aged 55+; live in Northampton, Florence, or Leeds; and have had an NN Welcome Visit. Requests should be made at least one week before the needed service. As of March 7, 2022, we offer virtual services as well as essential in-person services. Please let us know what seems essential to you. We will do our best to help, or help you find other resources.

If you have had a Welcome Visit

Schedule your next service by calling 413-341-0160.

If you have not yet had a Welcome Visit

Request one by calling 413-341-0160. If you do not reach a call manager, please leave a detailed message with your name, telephone number, and your request for a Welcome Visit.

On the scheduled date and time, a volunteer will come to your home for a Welcome Visit so that you can learn about NN and we can learn about you. The volunteer will ask about your life and needs, tell you about our programs and services, and answer any questions you may have.
