Who We Are

It started with a conversation about Being Mortal – specifically, Atul Gawande’s transformational book on the inescapable realities of aging and living a good life to the end.

With this in mind, Northampton Neighbors was founded to provide services and support for older adults in our community—everything from household help, errands, and tech assistance to rides and phone check-ins. In addition, we provide opportunities to connect and share through programs and events such as our Interest Groups, Speaker Series, talent shows, picnics, social get-togethers, and more.

We pride ourselves on being resourceful and nimble: if there’s a request, we’ll do whatever we can to meet it through programs, services, or personal outreach.

Northampton Neighbors is inclusive. Membership is 100% fee-free, and we welcome people of all ages from every corner of the community to participate in whatever ways are meaningful to them: to give, to receive, and to feel connected and fulfilled either way. Because isn’t that what a good life is all about?
