Join Us for a Walk & Talk on the Mass Central Rail Trail in Florence
Northampton Neighbors is pleased to present our first Walk & Talk together with our community partner,
Friends of Northampton Trails. Craig Della Penna, the former President of the Board of
Norwottuck Network, will give a presentation on the history, restoration, and continued development of Massachusetts' rail trails. Craig's talk is open to everyone; no registration required.
Wednesday, 7/9/25
Guided Walk on the Rail Trail: Meet at 12:30 pm. Registration required; space is limited.
Talk at the Garden House: 2:30-3:30 pm
Ride the Steamer Train: 4 pm. Sign up required at the talk; space is limited.
Where: The
Garden House at Look Park, 300 North Main Street, Florence, MA. Plenty of parking is available.
Interested in taking a guided walk before Craig's talk?
Walkers will meet at the Garden House at 12:30 pm, and NN will shuttle participants to the starting point from the Garden House. The one-mile walk will last about an hour. Participation is limited to 25;
registration is required. Please sign up

Interested in riding the Steamer Train at Look Park?
Stick around after the Craig's talk for a free ride on the Steamer Train. Sign up for a seat on the train at the beginning of the talk; space is limited.
