About this event
Monday, May 6, we are going to walk at the Fort River Refuge in Hadley
We will meet at 1 p.m. near the the intersection of Moody Bridge Road and South Maple Street in Hadley and walk into the refuge from there, a round trip of about three miles. A few other matters.
--In a few weeks, as the weather gets warmer, we will shift the meeting time to 10 a.m.
--A few new places to visit are being considered. They include; the Quabbin Reservoir, a new Kestrel Land Trust 150-acre property in Shutesbury, and the former Hickory Ridge golf course in Amherst that will open for walkers possibly this year.
--Each person walks at her/his own pace and walks only as far as they wish. There is no obligation to complete the walk or walk a certain distance.
--There are Porta-Potties available in the parking lot thanks to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
--All are welcome on Monday Walking Group outings no matter where you live! You do not have to be a resident of Northampton to walk with our group.
--If you no longer want to receive these walk notices, please email me and I will remove your name from the listserv.
